I tried this setting, however, it didn't resolve my issue (at least initially).
I started with a CentOS 6.4 (minimal build) while only configuring the name and IP settings during the install process. I then proceeded to installing wget via yum (yum install wget), uninstalling mysql-lib (yum remove mysql-lib), getting the auto deploy script (wget {link from install page}), extracting it and running it. (I only ran yum updates after I finished the install of CentOS as I wasn't sure if that was causing my problems).
I forget where, but I came across a rabbitmq forum (don't remember the link) that mentioned to add the server name into the local /etc/hosts file. I added the name and re-ran the script, and the script completed successfuly!
After I ran the script with the udpated hosts file, I realized that I had left the "chown rabbitmq..." line as was mentioned previoulsy. I'm not sure if it was also a part of the solution. I haven't ran into any issues thus far with Zenoss.
